Utility work to connect domestic & fire water to the building will begin on 7/7/21 along Stevenson Street and 7/9/21 along Mission Street for the irrigation connection to existing domestic water. The work will be performed during the daytime through the end of July. This will involve small excavators excavating trenches along Stevenson Street and Mission Street, Monday to Friday. The SFPUC will perform this work per their Special Traffic Permit provided by the SFMTA. All excavation locations will be covered with plates while the work is not being performed.
The mod setting period will continue through June. The mobile cranes set up on site and will remain there until all the modules are set into place. Additionally, another mobile crane will be set up on Stevenson Street to set the final mods on the Stevenson Street exterior. Through-traffic on Stevenson Street during normal daytime hours (not during the scheduled mod set) will be allowed. The set will occur each evening, Sunday to Friday morning, from approximately 10pm to 6am each night. The SFMTA have let us know that they will not approve the transporting of modules to start at 10 p.m. on nights when SF Giants have night games. Therefore, transporting of modules impacting the traffic on 7th St and Stevenson will start at 12:00 A.M. on nights when the SF Giants games are in town. Trucks will be present on Stevenson St during these periods to deliver the mods. We will still be working normal daytime hours during the workweek as well. Utility work will continue at the intersection of 6th St and Jessie St and the south side of Jessie St. The work will be performed during the daytime through the end of June. This will involve a small excavator excavating a trench along Jessie St, Monday to Friday. The utility contractor will gladly relocate any construction vehicles or equipment in order for local traffic to proceed through. All excavation locations will be covered with plates while the work is not being performed.
The period for setting factory-built housing modules has been postponed and is now estimated to start 2/28/2021, at the earliest. Mobile cranes will be set up on site and remain there for about 8 weeks while we set the modules into place. The set will occur each evening, Sunday to Friday morning, 9pm to 6am each night. Trucks will be present on Stevenson St during these periods to deliver the mods. We will still be working normal daytime hours during the workweek as well.
Concrete pours will continue through December. Concrete pours from Stevenson St are scheduled for December 1st, 2nd, 18th and 30th. Stevenson Street will be closed during the day to through traffic for the duration of these pours. This will also generate typical construction noise. Currently, mod set is estimated to begin on 1/7/21.
Concrete pours will continue through November. The Level 2 Podium along Stevenson Street will be poured on 11/10/20 and the Level 2 podium along Mission Street will be poured on 11/21/20. This will require closure of Stevenson Street to through-traffic on 11/10/20 and closure of the Northern traffic lane of Mission St on 11/21/20 during the day. This will also generate typical construction noise. We will continue to implement procedures to mitigate dust. Currently, mod set is estimated to begin on 1/3/21.
